Green Sapote 20cm pot

Description

The green sapote is slightly smaller in size than the close relative mamey sapote.
It has green-yellow or brownish skin and an orange-red pulp. It grows to approx 8 - 15 m tall and is deciduous and likes well drained soil. The tree has smaller, darker green leaves than the mamey and has a superior flavour and finer texture. The dark dull green fruit turns to gold when ripe and the thick orange flesh has a 'melting in your mouth' effect. One of our favourite fruit trees in the orchard.
